Ethics and Sustainability
At Green Bag Cambodia, we are committed to helping Cambodia reach its Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
We use production that is better for our planet and supports the Cambodian government’s initiative against marine pollution (SDG 14), enabling us to lower the footprint of our products by using recycled materials. Recycled materials stop waste material from going to landfills/waterways and reduces the use of virgin raw materials, thus saving natural resources and decreasing the climate impact of our products.
We cooperate with environmental organizations at our facilities and maintain stringent environmental standards ensuring a balance economic growth and environmental sustainability.
We accomplish this by improving energy consumption, reducing greenhouse emission, controlling the use of water, establishing environmental friendly wastewater disposal. We aim to reduce our impact on the environment and work pro-actively with customers and suppliers to reduce waste, promote recycling and minimise landfill. We constantly review environmental and social responsibility throughout our supply chain implementing the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, Remind). Our various initiatives in our factories are as follows:
- Rain water harvesting (SDG 6)
- Use of clean and affordable energy - Compressed gas boilers / Biomass Energy / Renewable Energy (SDG 7)
- Water treatment & purification plant to protect local rivers
- Evaporative cooling units using one tenth the power of a conventional air con unit - energy saving and reducing carbon emission
- Waste burning boiler is more environmentally friendly compared to the conventional wood/coal boiler and achieved 50% cost saving
- LED Fluorescent Lighting saved 60% of energy consumption in production floor over a period of 5 years.
- We promised to produce more products using sustainable BCI and other organic and recycled fabric.
We encourage our customers to do their part, too! Choose products made with more sustainable materials, refresh them in an energy-efficient way (reducing the number of washes is always a good start!), maintain them to prolong their lifespan and pass them on or take them to a recycling point when they are no longer of use.

We work through a wholly owned factory to ensure that compliance standards are clearly understood and sustained throughout our global network. Annual audits, supporting customers initiatives, and regular on-site visits, ensure the reputation of your brand.

Our production facilities our operated in accordance with the highest ethical standards and operating principles established by the International Labor Organization. We pay particular care in addressing the health and safety of our employees, and we aim to offer a safe and stimulating workplace.
